The problem
The weekly reading text was prepared from scratch in every class and follow-up notes lived on scattered paper, so the head of department only saw a clear picture of reader levels at the end of the term.
The solution
One platform for the department: a public window on the text of the week, a five-stage lesson with a classroom deck designed for each text, a whole-class assessment across four reader levels, and a head of department who can open any lesson as the teacher sees it and read department reports week by week.
